Mr. Ismail Khan has joined the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (Federal Bureau of Statistics) as Statistical Officer selected through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in March 1991. He holds a Masters Degree in Statistics as well as diploma in Computer Science. He was selected as Director in 2008 through FPSC and worked as a Director, Nation Accounts, Agriculture, Mining & Quarrying and Social Statistics Sections.
He is presently holding the position of Deputy Director General, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. He did his Senior Management Course (SMC) from National Management College, Lahore. He did sixth month training course on module on Core Official Statistics from UNSIAP Japan, Quarterly National Account training course from IMF Singapore and Poverty Measurement training course from UNSIAP Indonesia Jakarta as well as different courses from various national/ international organizations in diverse fields.
He has a vast experience in research, analysis and programme. Earlier he has worked on various positions with the USAID Project, Agriculture Department and Planning & Development Department of KP Government. He is proactive, innovative, flexible and willing to work on any project assigned to him. He is a valuable member of the team, who consistently achieved excellent results and delivered beyond expectations.
